Star-Telegram | 01/20/2006 | More Julie Fisk

Star-Telegram | 01/20/2006 | People watch:

"Meanwhile, Julie Hoyt-Fisk is out as morning-show co-host on KDMX/102.9 'Mix 102.9.' Program director Pat McMahon has not returned an e-mail seeking comment."

--------

Just posting what all I'm finding for those who are interested.

Mornings without Julie Fisk Aren't the Same!!

Okay, so I got two comments about Julie Fisk. It's so nice to know that I'm not the only one missing her. I must say that Tony and Cappy totally suck without her. Cappy has actually been the only one on lately b/c first, Tony was out of town, now he's sick. I keep hoping that Julie will magically pop back on, but alas each morning I turn on my radio to the crapfest that is Tony and Cappy (actually just Cappy right now.) This morning, they actually tried to use an old promo bit from Dakota Fanning that sounded really stupid after they cut Julie's name out of it. It was really obvious that they spliced it. It was just another heinous reminder of the bowl of feces that the morning show has become.

Now for my biggest obstacle--finding a new show. I tried David Lee Roth (who has taken Howard Stern's place here in Dallas.) He seemed pretty lame. I tried Kid Kraddick in the Morning. Ehhh. They are really marginal (but better than nothing.) I could move on back over to the Edge where I first listened to Julie, but Jagger's voice has always gotten on my nerves. It was worth putting up with to hear her. But now, I'm not so sure.

If anyone has any good Dallas morning show recommendations, or knows what happend to Julie Fisk, please let me know!!

If you'll notice

I've deleted most articles by other people. I'll still be posting news, but it will leave the sight after a few days, as deleting it helps my blog load faster. Plus, after a while, much of the news isn't very relevant anymore.
